What does your role as Roaring 21's Brand Manager entail on a day-to-day basis?
The role is varied and in-depth, and it brings me close to the players so that I can help them enjoy our games to the fullest, in a safe and controlled environment. There's lots of reporting, coming up with new promotions, dealing with player questions, testing new games and promotion ideas. But before any of that, the day starts with a coffee!
What sets Roaring 21 Casino apart from others in a competitive market? And how do you envision your brand evolving over the next few years?
I believe there are multiple layers that sets us apart in the iGaming space. Our team is experienced in this market, and we're super committed to providing the best place for players to play securely. Our promotions are varied and player friendly, so if a player is looking for a boost on their next deposit, then we've got them covered. Our support team is on hand 24/7, 365 days a year, so no matter what your problem, at whatever time of day or night, we're there for them, even on the big holidays when others are closed.
What role does player feedback play in shaping Roaring 21's offerings?
Player feedback is huge for us, and we often canvass our players to help us understand how we're doing and where we can improve/develop. So to be in open communication with those that use our services is vital to our growth and in our understanding of what players are looking for.
How do you prioritize player safety and responsible gambling?
It's number one in our list. Our offering should be fun and controlled, anything outside of that, should be addressed. Anything online these days has concerns attached to it relating to the safety of the user and their data. At Roaring 21 we take extra special care of our players and their data, which enables them to feel more comfortable playing with us.
We have an open door policy for players to raise any concerns a player may have about their gambling habits and encourage them to discuss this openly with our trained and compassionate team. This not only helps us understand their situation, but also helps prevent their fun turning into a problem they can't manage. Being in touch with players and understanding their spending and playing habits, gives us an insight into what we can consider normal ranges of activity for individual players, any deviation from this which may show signs of concern then there are steps we can take to intervene in a sensitive way. If there are players out there who feel they're not in control of their gambling, then raise it with, we don't judge any situation and we're more than happy to assist you.
How do you see emerging trends like live dealer games, mobile-first design, or AI impacting the casino industry?
Mobile and Live Dealer we've had covered for some time now, and it's clear to see the movement, specifically on mobile use. The vast majority of our players access the casino using a mobile device. People lead busy lifestyles these days and everything needs to be delivered fast and on the move, hence the boom in mobile gaming. Live Dealer gives that personal touch and a different feeling when playing their favorite table games and you get that interaction between other players too.
AI is still in its infancy, but we're sure this will have a big impact on many aspects of the casino in the future. It can be used to help players with offers as and when they need them, it can help us keep our players safe in their play with us and I'm sure we'll see new games built using AI in the near future. It's exciting times and this can lead to new game types being created, who knows where this will take us?
What's the most rewarding part of your job?
I enjoy seeing players happy and promotions working, that give value to our players. However, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing one of our players hit a jackpot or even a large win, changing their lives for the better. The emotion of it all makes for a fantastic conversation with the winner, something that can stick with you for a long time! This is why getting to know our players is such an important part of our job, we ride the same rollercoaster with them, and celebrate alongside them.
Can you share a memorable player story or success related to your casino brand?
There have been many moments over the years, but there are key moments when a win drops at just the right time for the player. We've had players pay off Christmas early, down payments on cars and being able to book that dream holiday to treat the family. The list goes on, and I'm sure there are other huge life events that I don't know about, that have been powered up by a win at Roaring 21!
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to work in brand management within the gaming sector?
Aim for the moon and follow your dreams. Dedication, passion, compassion and understanding are some of the qualities you need. Knowing your product and your audience is key though. Without a solid foundation of what you're dealing with and who you're dealing with, you may miss the target without that understanding. You need to be adaptive, responsive, an innovator and be proactive in everything you do.
What's one thing you think every player should know about the casino industry from the inside?
I think if I was to narrow down to 'one thing', which is super difficult by the way, I'd say from our point of view, there is always a real person with a name and a face behind the screen, who has your best intentions in mind. We're not a faceless casino, even though the online aspect can remove a bit of that personal touch. This is why we're working hard behind the scenes to be approachable and let players know we're there for them.
